About Me

Hello fellow bibliophiles, and welcome to my blog! This blog is something that I've been thinking about doing for awhile, and which I am still improving. Thank you for coming with me on this journey!

I have been a bookworm for as long as I can remember. I have many fond memories of my parents reading my siblings and I books when we were little, and as soon as I learned how to read I ate up as many books as I could get my hands on! Trips to the library were something that I always looked forward to, and I often got into trouble for staying up late reading books under the covers with a flashlight.

Books have always been a safe place for me. I love escaping into different worlds, learning new things, and being able to get a different point of view on life. I did go through a reading slump a few years ago. Looking back on those years I'm not sure what kept me from reading, but I do know that I am happier now than I was then. Books are magic! And everyone could use more magic in their lives!

I owe the decision to start writing a book review blog to bookstagram! A few years ago I started GeorgiannaofPemberley on IG. It began as a place where I could share my love of books and post artsy pictures. Imagine my surprise as more and more people started following my account! I really love the book community I have found there, and it made me want to share the books I love with other people! Seeing other bookstagrammer's reviews have helped me find more books that I enjoy reading, and I want to do the same for others!

As I read more and more books, I like having a place where I can post my thoughts about the books I've read. I love discovering new worlds and having my view of the world expanded.
