Goodreads Synopsis
How do you punish an immortal?
By making him human.
After angering his father Zeus, the god Apollo is cast down from Olympus. Weak and disorientated, he lands in New York City as a regular teenage boy. Now, without his godly powers, the four-thousand-year-old deity must learn to survive in the modern world until he can somehow find a way to regain Zeus's favour.
But Apollo has many enemies—gods, monsters and mortals who would love to see the former Olympian permanently destroyed. Apollo needs help, and he can think of only one place to go... an enclave of modern demigods known as Camp Half-Blood.
Review
Even wondered what Apollo's punishment would be for his part in the war against Gaea? Well, you have to wonder no longer! Just read this amazing book! After how serious "The Heroes of Olympus" books were, the humor in this book was a nice touch.
Apollo is a rather dramatic character. Watching him wrestle with going from being a god to a teenage boy with acne was great! I also loved the Haiku at the beginning of each chapter! You also get to see or hear about several well known (and well loved) characters from the previous books!
I love the Percy Jackson books (and Heroes of Olympus books) SO much! I look forward to reading "The Dark Prophecy (Trials of Apollo #2) very soon! Do yourself a favor and read this book!
Happy reading, everyone!
